Welcome

NKJ John 17:3
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

Welcome to SalvationWise, a web site focused on sharing truths about salvation in Jesus Christ. It’s my hope and prayer that this site will be a blessing to all who visit and help you gain wisdom about salvation, and fully experience it. Salvation is about knowing Jesus Christ, and having a relationship with Him where He is our Saviour and Lord. A question people sometimes ask or wonder is “how do we become wise, or knowledgable, about salvation?”

David wrote, “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” NKJ Psalm 19:1, he also wrote that“ The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory.” NKJ Psalm 97:6. Who hasn’t looked at nature – the stars and constellations, a flower or tree, mountains or oceans – and, seeing the beauty, the complexity, as well as the simplicity, and wondered how these things could have just randomly happened? It’s only natural for one’s thoughts to turn to a loving intelligent Being, a Designer, a Creator. Yet, in our world today, we also see a savagery in nature. A brutal “survival of the fittest”. This contrast can cause some to question. Surely this is not what a loving God designed. The Bible is very clear, such as in Genesis chapter 2, that this sin-filled world is not what God created. His creation has been marred by sin, a sin that separates us from the relationship He desires to have; with you, and with all humanity.

While nature falls short of revealing all the truth about God, there is another, better, source to find the truth about God and salvation. The Bible. God’s Holy Word; His inspired Word. Writing to Timothy, Paul said “and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” NKJ 2 Timothy 3:15-17. The Bible was given to us so we could be “salvation wise”; so we could obtain salvation in knowing Jesus Christ through faith. And this is the reason for the name of this website.

Some people approach the Bible as if it is just a good history book, a literary classic, or simply a book of good ethical ideas. Others think of it as just an ancient record of ancient cultures and their cultural myths. Jesus set the record straight when he told the spiritual leaders of His day “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 “But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” NKJ John 5:39-40. The Bible was written to give us a revelation of God the Father presented through the life, death and ministry of God the Son – Jesus Christ. By seeing, understanding and applying the truth of Jesus Christ, we are drawn to His love. We are also drawn to God the Father through Jesus. This truth about God, if embraced in faith, will lead us to salvation.

While the pages of this web site contain information, sermons, stories, recipes, and more, covering areas of Bible truth, physical health, family/social health, and emotional health, the main focus and purpose of this site is to lift up Jesus Christ by sharing Bible truth that makes us ‘SalvationWise”.
